2014 Apollo Bay Race- Congratulations Simply Fun

Simply Fun missed the Apollo Bay race record by a mere 5minutes and 5 seconds but had one "helluva" ride to take Line Honours at 07:59:09 on Saturday morning and win in all divisions. Although not aboard for this race, the record stands at two for two for owner Phil Commbs  having also taken Line honours in Simply Fun in the ORCV Launceston Race at christmas.

The fleet got away to a fast start at 0230hrs and many were reported flying spinnakers shortly after the start. It was champagne sailing, 10-15 knots from the north-west aft of the beam and the excellent conditions saw the fleet finsished by 1030hrs on Saturday morning.
