The ORCV has long been associated with double-handed sailing, and this race is its entrée into the beautiful world of short-handed sailing.
Sailed around a Bay course, this event challenges those who wish to test themselves in a short-handed sailing format. It also offers valuable training for those contemplating participating in the Double-Handed division of longer races conducted by the club.
Team racing is a traditional event component with Clubs and competitors encouraged to compete for the Perpetual Teams Trophy. Teams can come from a club across friendship groups or any grouping you like, and don't forget to give it a fun name.
The race, starting in the vicinity of the Royal Brighton Yacht Club, is approximately 22 NM, incorporating a course specifically designed for Double Handed racing.
