The ORCV Melbourne to Geelong Yacht Race is the last race of the ORCV Winter Series as well as standing alone as a great race in its own right. The start is a couple of miles downwind from R2, which is the first mark of the various courses available for the race. Different courses enable the Race Director to set courses to match wind and sea conditions to division capabilities. Of course, apart from the racing, the real bonus is a great destination in Geelong and the Royal Geelong Yacht Club who are renowned for their hospitality during Geelong Week. Yachts will be berthed in the marina overnight while their crews are plied with food and drinks in the bar and a band plays the night away. The following day begins with a buffet breakfast before taking part in the ORCV Women Skippers & Navigators Race back to Melbourne.
