ORCV & Wyndham Harbour present 2016 Grand Yacht and Powerboat Muster.
Coming up at the start of September, Sat/Sun 3rd/4th, is our pre-season get together - the Grand Yacht and Powerboat muster at the new Wyndham Harbour Marina. Wyndham Harbour have renewed their sponsorship of the Ocean Racing Club of Victoria (ORCV) and are now our major sponsor so come along, bring your friends and check out our new sponsor.
Mus-ter n - 1. A gather of yachts at a pre-designated location for the purpose of allowing yacht owners to covet each others boats.
2. A boating event with the emphasis on the destination rather than the journey.
The ORCV has organised a gathering of yachts and our powerboating cousins from across Port Phillip to get us in the mood for the upcoming summer season as well as give you a taste of Port Phillip's latest and greatest destination. There are wineries, zoos, parks, gardens and lots more to choose. (OK, there's only one winery and one zoo.) Boats of all shapes and sizes are welcome to pop in for the weekend but please register early. You can stay 1, 2 or 3 nights and your 2nd and 3rd night are only an extra $10 each.
The program includes a range of activities over 2 busy days. You can do as much or as little as you like. More information in a pretty poster is available here if you want to stick it up on the wall at your club/shop/bar, or a bit more information is on the flyer for those with a double sided printer!
To be guaranteed a berth in the best location please register early, the last muster was booked out and several boats were turned away on the day. Don't risk it, register now. The registration fee includes priority reserved berthing and 2 tickets for the courtesy bus which runs every 30 minutes (Additional tickets available on request).
The Saturday night Boaties and Yachties dinner is sure to be a highlight and a great event in its own right so book online for that as well (and save a few $$$ to boot). Enjoy a complementary pre-dinner drink in the new indigenous art gallery "Altair".
So “muster” up your friends and fellow boat owners and make it a date to meet at Wyndham Harbour for a rare opportunity for yachties and boaties to get together just for the fun of it.
