Heemskirk Consolidated Melbourne to Hobart

(M2H and M2L as part of the MMOC)

Give your boat a Christmas Pressie!

And it needs this one too. They all do actually - for ALL races starting on 27/12/09 - so that's M2HW, M2HE and M2L. Santa's busy elves in the office have reminded me that the last day for Airsplint orders is December 15, so that you can have them in time for  Christmas racing. Usual scenario, download the form, send a completed one to Sally or Dennis at the ORCV office with your preferred payment all sorted. No moola. No pressie mate!

Yep. It is inflatable air splints, which are part of the new deal in the new blue book. And no. There are no steak knives with this one, as they would just puncture the splints.

For Category 1 & 2 events, Emergency Medical Equipment rules now state that “Inflatable Splints for Arms & Legs” will be carried for these races. As we know, all races conducted by the ORCV that traverse Bass Strait are rated as Cat 2 (i.e. everything this side of New Year).

The ORCV has sourced a supplier for the inflatable splints and so, for a limited time, the following items are available:

  1. Full Leg air splint $20.00 incl gst
  2. Full Arm air splint $20.00 incl gst
  3. A full kit of air splints (in a satchel) is available for $100 incl gst and in the kit are:
              • Hand & Wrist air splint
              • Half Arm air splint
              • Full Arm air splint
              • Foot & Ankle air splint
              • Half Leg air splint
              • Full Leg air splint

All orders are subject to a $10 postage and handling fee unless collected from the ORCV office during normal working hours.

NB:

    • Orders for items required in time for M2S will need to be received before COB Tuesday 20/10/09.
    • Orders for items required in time for M2L, M2HE and M2HW will need to be received before Tuesday 15/12/09.

Get you Order Form HERE and send it in to the ORCV Office for prompt delivery.

As for the other hits - well they're the ones, here on the website. Your Committee are delighted you are finding so many things on here you are interested in reading.

By The Reindeers - with the assistance of John Curnow for the typing, which is pretty hard with hooves. They would also like to thank to Gillian Kearns for the legwork in arranging it all, because they found the suppliers were not taking them seriously. Said they spoke English with an accent... Go Figure!
