The Deer Hunter...

... because we cannot use the third part of the still deer joke, OK.

Like I've just said in the preceding pieces No Idea and Still No Idea, there were some great things going on just before Easter. Anyway, choosing hero pics has been difficult. All pics © Steb Fisher.

Might is right! To help us spot them, they've even painted this large piece of Newcastle pine in red... This is that newish, super sleek R60, whose name I just cannot remember this second.

But man - was this close - or what? It is he of the loud shorts, although Smithy, this pair is almost tame by your standards... She of the red hair and big grin is up on the coaming near the office and we're aboard Mark and Mike Walsh's, Wicked. And look for the guy with the best hair do in the business. He's up at the mast. Bob Downe wants the same hairstylist to work on him! We'll be back for him later...

This also rated highly - you may remember it stepping off in the No Idea piece, which you can revisit HERE.

And this is the handover.

Wake is a little Hick that one year in the COB shot out of the blocks in almost no breeze and led the field. Athol Lidgett owned her.

R205AC10Sat-0629

It does look very much like Andrew Coutts with the green sleeves, so perhaps he still does.

R336AC10Sat-1050

Swordfish Trombone is an earlier Chutzpah.

R336AC10Sat-1367

Some faces for those in the know to ascertain.

R363AC10Sat-0341

S2AC10Sat-0227

Now this is one of Graham Radford's Sprint 35's - see the resemblance. DNA is proof of his time with the late Joe Adams.

S2AC10Sat-1381 S2AC10Sat-1382

On the left is good and on the right better, as you can definitely make out both R35s

S2AC10Sat-1395

Terrific stuff Steb.

S2AC10Sat-IV030

Shielding Ninety Seven - it's the black band-aid that gives it away.

S14AC10Sat-0263

Would have been a chance for the hero pic on a normal day.

S14AC10Sat-1051

Zoom back a little and you can see it is Gienah.

Sm4AC10Sat-0621

More kite issues of the day - Wicked this time. Now I did say we'd be back to the guy with the best hair in sailing - and we will, but in the meantime, here he is again near that mast...

Oliver Twist - go deep. Response: Of course you can.
