Club Marine Series, Day Seven - On your bike.


Because you need to get moving and have the marks in the right place. Certainly the mark laying vessel of the day, Cerberus, had its work cut out for it, as it only just managed to keep ahead of the leader.

The started at due North, went to 340, 270 and finally 250, so there was bound to be some huge gains - provided you picked it correctly. Here's the Fawkner Beacon Chart of the morning... No doubt the naviguessers were glued to the tablets!!!

So just who was that winner, then. Living Doll got over the line ahead of Scarlett Runner and then Cougar II. On IRC, Scarlet Runner did enough to get the win, the Living Doll and the well-rated and well-sailed, Veloce, got in for third. EHC, if your so inclined, was Scarlet Runner, Veloce and then Rush.

The breeze is now a lovely 10knots out of the South at 230 degrees, with the Div0 boats off at 1400hrs for their second race of the day and the Div1 boats 5 minutes after that. Remember, these are the ones with a lot riding on today, so it will be great fun to watch.
