Come and hear Annette Hesselmans speak this Friday
7:00pm 22nd February at Royal Brighton Yacht Club
Annette Hesselmans describes herself as just an ordinary sailor. She says that with a little determination, a dash of confidence, and a few other key ingredients, anything is possible.
It is with these attributes that Annette has completed an extraordinary 2018. Sailing 15,000 nautical miles aboard her yacht, Red Jacket.
Which includes: Skippering the 5,500 nautical mile 2018 Melbourne to Osaka Double-Handed yacht race. Sailing the return leg with a young crew, and the grande finale; competing in the ORCV 2018 Melbourne to Hobart Westcoaster with an all female crew in the new ORCV innovative Four + Autohelm Division.
Annette is one of a Series of guest speakers Australian Sailing's Women and Girls in Sailing has organised in partnership with host clubs of this season's Port Phillip Women's Championship Series (PPWCS) to inspire more females into sailing and help promote the PPWCS.
All welcome to attend the free event.
