Beyond the Bay Program Overview & Schedule

The “Beyond the Bay” program is a series of educational evening sessions, supervised weekend on-water events and mentoring support, providing participants with the opportunity, knowledge and support needed to travel beyond Port Phillip Bay.

We know a lot of boat owners have extremely capable boats and a dream to cruise the Australian Coast. There are also many people who don't own a boat, who would love to crew on such a journey. We think it is usually a combination of the lack of opportunity, the lack of knowledge and the lack of confidence which holds them back.

The Ocean Racing Club of Victoria has the skills, the experience and the opportunity to meet those needs.

And who knows, you may just like it enough to come Ocean Racing! Places are strictly limited (max 40 participants).

In 2019 we are offering a BLOCK ENTRY option, which includes the BTB program, Safety and Sea Survival Course and the Practical Navigator course. These courses are available as standalone courses as well. You can choose to got for the Block Entry (BTB+SSSC+NAV) or for just Beyond the Bay program.

To this year's program we have added 2 more on-water events - the Winter Series passage races to Geelong and Blairgowrie.
