Weather Outlook for this weekend’s Apollo Bay Race

The weather map for the Apollo bay race has a nice big high pressure over Victoria for the weekend. On the plus side the forecast is for a sunny day with a top temperature of 17 degrees. The high looks strong so enough diesel for the way home will be required.

Looking at the Predictwind routing model this weekend’s race is going to be a slow and challenging race. You location to the north or south of the rhumbline is going to determine weather you win or loose so clouds and other visual effects will need to be monitered. So a light boat with an attentive crew and a clean bottom will win the day. We have four boats in contention for the Offshore trophy so it will be a hard fought race

As you can see from the summary for a Beneteau first 40 it is going to be a late finish
