We have fifty-four entries in the Boxing Day Dash and Lloyd Hetrick, skippering his Holland 25, Aquarius, is making the early start toward his New Year celebrations at Queenscliff by joining the annual race to Blairgowrie.

Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron will again provide great hospitality and mooring for yachts after racing.

Lloyd tells us:

"Aquarius has being at RBYC since it was built, I’ve had the boat 4 years and the first 3 years I did little racing on it as I was always helping other people out on their boats, as well I was doing a lot of ocean racing including achieving my lifelong goal of doing a Sydney Hobart.!

This year I have focused on sailing Aquarius and have being having getting some quite good results including a number of 1st places in the club races. We are doing this race as its one way to get down the bay as we intend to spend New Year at QCYC. We know being a small boat there is every chance we may not make the  finish line before the cut off time but we will give it our best shot."
