ORCV Melbourne to Geelong (M2G)
The cruiser known as Graf Spee.
First we had a bit about her in It pays to advertise and then the Dambusters got us on the WWII thing... Now, at last, are the pics of the new Hanse 375 known as Graf Spee. The boat belongs to Paul and Deanne Koelmeyer at RBYC, of whom our Poster Girl, Patricia Laverty says, "Lovely people. They're new to racing and so we're starting with something great!" Excellent stuff. Well done. You've earned yourself $50 for the ORCV plug...
We're still at the rounding of R2 and here are some more of Steb Fisher's pics from the waterborne component of the 2010 M2G.
Yes. That does look great.
Howdy. How are we all?
Did you enjoy it?
Very civilised.
Maybe got the lazarette packed with a bit too much gear?
Yes I fear so...
That sign...
Sensational stuff.
PYT - Did you have a blast, too?
Let me know, Daniel.
Thunder saw the division and went for it.
Pretty Woman was the first entry.
Republica entered with their new-to-them Beneteau.
That's just great.
How did you go Iganzio?
You just have to have a fleet shot! In this are Pretty Woman, Caledonia, Cadence, Tresor and Magic.
Yep. That's a great way to prove that it is an Adams.
RGYC Commodore John Kint aboard his Bundaberg.
Nereus were one of the entries that got us well into the mid and then high twenties in the cruising divisions. Cheers.
Fun being had there.
Off for a jaunt.
See ya.
Mirage and a well-focussed bowman.
Coming to get you...
Geelong entrants got into the programme and seem to be very keen for next year's M2G, as well.
Not a lot of breeze, but still a bow wave.
That's a nice shot.
Cadence has done a lap of the globe, so is all set-up for such an adventure.
Noeleen III and you can read about that, HERE.
Been sitting in the pen a bit, I fear...
Personally, I was just delighted that Ocean Safari were back with us, after doing the inaugural M2G in 2009. Thank you to Robert Wood and crew.
John Raff's Western Sun form Royals.
A lovely new Jenneau... with a barby cover!!! Steaks for lunch. Ta.
Ah huh. We do have more. Promise.

The Colts (Sydney 38s) are having their own fight within the battle - many thanks to Ullman Sails for providing the prize. |
|
Many thanks to John Kint, Brian Case, Dianne Rose and the many, many helpers at RGYC for making it such a great place for us to get to. |
Thank you to Monica Tonner and Richard Hunter from SYC for ensuring Steb had a ride and we, therefore, have all that imagery, which just seems to go down an absolute treat. |

It is with thanks to our friends at PredictWind that we've been able to supply such detailled information throughout the entire 2010 MWS. |
