We're on.

Yep. We're on - back in the shed. WoooooHooooo!

So. Our friends in Stanley, have arranged access to the smaller shed and also the toilets on dockside. Excellent.

The dawn brings in the first 2009 M2S finishers that you could actually see...

Working with the Smithton CH Lions Club this year, are the Smithton Scouts and the Forest Stanley Football Club. Thank you team, in advance, because we know how much you do. Also a thank you to Mark Hursey from Stanley's dynastic fishing clan for all they do and especially ensuring there is a finishing mark laid for us at the end of the old, main finger. Just on that, we understand there are now permanent barge boards on the pylons, so larger vessels can tie up with far more convenience. See pic below of how it used to be...

"We will be having our Lions van there for food, which will comprise of steaks, sausages and hamburgers and evening meals - pies, pasties and sausage rolls. Drinks, of course! We have arranged for a local DJ for the evening and the yachts' crews are again allowed to use the Stanley Caravan Park for their showers. Breakfast will be on again, same as last year, cost $10 per person. Looking forward in seeing you all", Sheryl Robson, Secretary, Lions Club has told us.

There is also the usual transport to the airport for those that need it. Costs arranged with your minibus driver...

FogAstern

The fog - why everyone was so late last year...

Let's hope everyone gets to Stanley quickly this year and can enjoy NW Tassie's wonderful food and hospitality. Yes. Now that I have actually been there (most times it was turn in the dark and go home for me), I can tell you how much I love the place. A lot.
