ORCV Melbourne Winter Series (MWS)
The Etchells Gang.
We've been watching Mark Bulka drive Challenge for a while and Rowan Simpson certainly gets some heads aboard the Lou Abraham's Colt. The hot forty something, the 41 year old ORCV Winter Series, has definitely turned on some super-competitive racing. No more so than in the forty somethings, themselves (Basil Brush). Challenge is of course one of the mainstays of that category, along with the likes of Jazz Player and it was Audacious who had the Big Red A out the front on Sunday.
So here is Mark behind the helm on Sunday, as they go into the hitch mark... Pic courtesy of and © to Alex McKinnon.
Bow#39 is Mark's Perfect Balance at the 2011 Victorian Etchells State Championships, which were held out of Royal Brighton Yacht Club. Pics courtesy of and © to Alex McKinnon.
Now on Sunday, International Etchells Class Governor and President of the Australian Association, Jake Gunther, also came out to see what the hottest racing on the Bay at the coolest time of year was all about. Jake is no stranger to hot competition in either his Etchells or Finn. Pic courtesy of and © to Teri Dodds.
Here is Jake's, The Boat, with daylight for second during the 2011 NSW Etchells title, which was held off Newcastle.
Different race, but (Bow#07) in the lead, again....
