The Geelong Race conditions saw many tired and relieved faces getting over the line on Saturday afternoon. Some great competitions fought through the series came to a close and the place-getters in each category were happy to receive some wine or other prizes from Helly Hansen as compensation for their hard work. The race was excellent preparation for races later in the year, and all competitors took advantage of the comfortable surrounds of the Royal Geelong Yacht Club to relax post-race and watch the presentations.
A huge amount of credit is due for all participants, and a special shout out to everyone who volunteered their time to ensure a successful race.

What a day to wrap up this year's Helly Hansen Winter Series! More than 40 boats fought it out in challenging conditions with head-on westerlies blowing most of the way.
Competitors are reminded there is a mandatory pre-race radio sign on schedule commencing at 0735hrs on Saturday 8th September. Boats will be called by Division and in alphabetical order to confirm that they are starters in the race and how many persons they have onboard. Please respond promptly when called. Boats that do not respond on the first call must wait until they are called again at the end of the schedule.
Example response "Boat Name is a starter, x POB”.
Click HERE for the Radio Sked sheet, which confirms your Division and to check your POB per the crew list submitted online.
