ORCV Melbourne Winter Series (MWS)

Stanley Kubrick.

This one is all not entirely about Clockwork, but a good feature of them, none the less.

Sm3500ORCV10-R3-152

We start with the Love Boat, however...

Sm3500ORCV10-R3-369

Nutcracker and Alibi with the kites up. Mille Sabords on the left of image? Chris - your thoughts?

Sm3500ORCV10-R3-372

Well that's a good one - Rob Davis (owner/driver) is going to love this image.

Sm3500ORCV10-R3-515

Ritchie Benaud - "Marvellous stuff, that!"

Sm3500ORCV10-R3-516

And Chris - Even I worked out that this is a finishing shot.

Sm3838ORCV10-R3-079

Clockwork in front of Audacious.

Sm3838ORCV10-R3-080

Sm3838ORCV10-R3-082

Audacious come around to join them on Starboard.

Sm3838ORCV10-R3-085

Audacious now slotted in behind Clockwork and that's Schuss to windward.

Sm3838ORCV10-R3-086

All three now visible.

Sm3838ORCV10-R3-087

Going up to ward off all challenges.

Sm3838ORCV10-R3-088

Sm3838ORCV10-R3-089

And that means Audacious is much lower...

Sm3838ORCV10-R3-091

Getting onto it now...

Sm3838ORCV10-R3-470

Is that how they managed to sneak around? (trick photography - this image is from the next rounding)

Sm5508ORCV10-R3-169

Hush, who certainly were quiet on the day and just got on with it...

Sm5508ORCV10-R3-172

Marissa did everything forward of the cockpit, my sources tell me.

Sm5508ORCV10-R3-177

Which is bound to keep you busy.

Sm5508ORCV10-R3-179

Nutcracker in the distance.

Sm5508ORCV10-R3-392

That's a handy lead over the boat still going into the top mark.

Sm5508ORCV10-R3-396

Well done - three up would have been difficult, but warm!!!

Sm5985ORCV10-R3-145

INSX playing with Alibi.

Sm5985ORCV10-R3-146

Sm5985ORCV10-R3-147

Close and competitive racing. if you have not got your boat out of the pen, you can join in, any time you wish. Just go HERE.

Sm5985ORCV10-R3-149

Still Alibi in behind them, but different driver... Well. It is not. It is just an illusion. This is how Dennis Hambleton put it, "The Law of Equity applies on Alibi, or, expressed another way, he who pay the bills is he who gets to drive!" Ah yes. The Golden Rule... Glad you are getting something from the site Dennis and thanks for your email.

Sm5985ORCV10-R3-289

Rob Sill driving.

Sm5985ORCV10-R3-295

Yes. It does look cold.

Sm5985ORCV10-R3-297

Now, just a reminder, all those vessels coming down on them are in Div1, which has the head start from beginning their racing ahead of INSX, who are in Div2...

Sm5985ORCV10-R3-298

Sm5985ORCV10-R3-299

Looks great!

Sm5985ORCV10-R3-367

Now you might think they are being just a little casual about it all, but as you can see from the tables, they may well be entitled to look any which way they want, as they lead the two categories they're entered into... QED
