Friday 

There will be easterly's of up to 10 knots at the start of the race. Then the wind will move to the north at 10 to 15 knots and then  increase to 20 knots before a change from the west at similar strength by 16:00hrs on Friday. A cold front, approaching from the west, will move eastwards across Victoria during Friday.  Behind this front the winds will move to the south-west and increase to 35 knots by 22:00hrs and then decrease to 20 to 25 knots by the morning. The sea and swell will increase to 5 to 6 meters by midnight on Friday and reduce to 4 to 5 metres by Saturday morning.

Looking at the models below from PredictWind the racing will be over for all the fleet by midnight on Friday night. Given this forecast the race record of 14:26:20hrs set in 1984 by the IOR Pocket Maxi, Quasimodo, could be under treat.
