CapeOtwayLighthouse
The Cape Otway lighthouse

The fleet is now strung out in two groups with the lead group of 3 boats having rounded Cape Otway and the other group still to approach.

At 11:00hrs Dekadence is about 10 miles past the Cape doing 5.2 knots and sits in first place for line honours.  They are closely followed by Spirit of Downunder then Bandit, who is in first place in IRC division.  Having rounded the cape the boats are tracking more westerly to reduce the wind on the nose as it freshens from the NW. The lead boat is still about 62 nautical miles from Port Fairy so it is still approximately 8 hours away from Port Fairy.

Alien is just approaching the Cape and followed a few miles back by Dry White, The Sectretary and Magazan.  Magazan is currently first in PHS, second in AMS and third in IRC so this mighty boat is well placed to clean up.  A short distance separates this group from another group of three boats Inception, Trybooking.com and then Slinky Malinky,
