The debrief is an opportunity for crew who took part in the Port Fairy race to discuss the event and in particular discuss the circumstances in which the crew of Inception were rescued by Trybooking.com after their yacht took on water and sunk during the race.

Many insights can be gained by reviewing the race and the debrief will provide an opportunity to all crew members to share their own experiences and to listen to others. It is also an opportunity for crew to gain some insight into the sequence of events that occurred as the race unfolded from a range of perspectives, including the police, AMSA, the Race Director and Incident Response Team.

Following the debrief, the ORCV will be provide a report on learnings and insights gained for the benefit the sailing community.
