ORCV Melbourne Winter Series (MWS)

Best On Ground.

I just heard from Tony Bull and the first of Steb's pics also just arrived in my inbox. That's the making of a story... So here it is.

Tony commented, "I think the race committee were BOG! They must have a hotline to the big fella, the way they seem to slot races in between fronts."

"We had a lot of crew missing due to Airlie Beach and a Buck's weekend. Plus we lost a couple of replacements on the morning, so we only had eight instead of the usual 12 souls onboard. Lucky the course had was long legs! We struggled with so little weight on the rail and couldn’t get away from Jazz Player (they had a blinder) and just watched Goldy pull away", he said.

"We got through OK, considering, but now it will be hard to haul back Wicked, who are 4.5 points ahead. Very important to have a good next race and then you never know? Perhaps a late dying breeze for the last passage race, which will favour the bigger boats? We need to tap into the RC’s hotline, or have a devout month...." Know what I'd do, Tony.

"The jacket was returned to our table at RYCV. Now that’s service. It was packed in spinnaker bag with the kite. Sewermans’s revenge????? Keep up good work."

Wasn't Audacious' day either and so they now too have some work ahead of them... Good pic, though!

PYT - last finisher, but what a cool effort and we trust the M2G brings them great fun, as well.
