Steb Fisher

ORCV Melbourne Winter Series (MWS)

No wonder!

This batch was Steb Fisher's favourite. I could have had, as a minimum, a dozen hero pics!!!

Enough of my stuff, the chosen one was selected simply because I don't think we've had Ninety Seven as hero pic before. Strap in. We're off! BTW - Images are in no particular order and we're starting with the new Mistress (Yes. I will get into trouble for that, but....).

B3607ORCV10-R5-1112

The wind getting into whipping that spray up.

B3607ORCV10-R5-1113

The famous RP nose in the drink.

B3607ORCV10-R5-1114

Good 'Steb'.

B3607ORCV10-R5-1115

Great 'Steb'!

B3607ORCV10-R5-1117

Looking just a tad dark in the background there...

B3607ORCV10-R5-1118

Right oh.

B3607ORCV10-R5-1119

Someone wanted to enjoy the pointy end ride. Where is that pin?

B3607ORCV10-R5-1120

OK. Here it is.

B3607ORCV10-R5-1123

Just the last bit to slide through the line...

B3607ORCV10-R5-1124

... And we're done. What's so dramatic about that, I hear you say. Well, remember they are new to the boat, so we don't want to scare them off completely!!! OK?

Anyway. These should fix your thirst for blood!

B9797ORCV10-R5-1161

It is always hard to display the size of waves in either stills or live motion. This particular image goes a long way to solving that.

B9797ORCV10-R5-1164

The power of yachting, eh.

B9797ORCV10-R5-1166

Would have got a guernsey on any other day.

B9797ORCV10-R5-1168

Hope that kite bag survives

B9797ORCV10-R5-1169

Looks like it will.

B9797ORCV10-R5-1173

Third in this section already.

B9797ORCV10-R5-1177

Fourth! (Wonderful stuff.)

B9797ORCV10-R5-1178

Bet they were pleased to finish.

B9797ORCV10-R5-1179

Bag survived, for those, like me, that were interested.

G4646RORCV10-R5-1128

A little earlier on (only a matter of seven minutes), Extasea had gotten through, so the comparison shows just how quickly it marched in...

G4646RORCV10-R5-1131

The old wave into the side of the hull trick. This one is fairly innocuous...

G4646RORCV10-R5-1133

But thisy!!! Well...

G4646RORCV10-R5-1134

Mate. That is SOOOOOOOOO coming your way. Duck. So we'll call that number five.

Sm460ORCV10-R5-1136

Three minutes after Extasea, XLR8 went through. (possibly Matrix heading home...)

Sm460ORCV10-R5-1141

...Which of course means this is #6.

Sm460ORCV10-R5-1142

OK - seven.

Sm460ORCV10-R5-1147

All right. Eight.

Sm460ORCV10-R5-1148

Make that nine, please.

Sm460ORCV10-R5-1149

I meant ten - really?

Sm460ORCV10-R5-1150

OK, OK - eleven.

Sm460ORCV10-R5-1151

You'd argue it as twelve.

Sm460ORCV10-R5-1152

So make it a Baker's Dozen instead, please.

Sm460ORCV10-R5-1153

Made it.

Sm460ORCV10-R5-1154

#14, right there, I'd say.

Sm460ORCV10-R5-1158

Based on this image, you would not believe that is the very next in the sequence!!!

Nice one Ray Shaw and crew...

Sm5508ORCV10-R5-1091

We're onto Hush now, who finished about two minutes before Extasea, so it is interesting to see the difference size does make... (And yes, I will probably get pinged for that too!)

Sm5508ORCV10-R5-1092

Another sensational effort to show the power of the water against the drama of a yacht making it's way.

Sm5508ORCV10-R5-1094

Like I just said...

Sm5508ORCV10-R5-1095

Quite dark to the East on the day, wasn't it.

Sm5508ORCV10-R5-1096

TAA. (Go deep. I'll use it again.)

Sm5508ORCV10-R5-1098

Ducking - think they know.

Sm5508ORCV10-R5-1099

Yep - definitely onto that programme!!!

Sm5508ORCV10-R5-1100

Up, up and away...

Sm5508ORCV10-R5-1101

... with TAA.

Sm5508ORCV10-R5-1103

Ah yes. But then there is Newton!!!

Sm5508ORCV10-R5-1104

I think Peter and the team were working hard for this...

Sm5508ORCV10-R5-1105

Just a wee floss needed, please.

Sm5508ORCV10-R5-1106

On your own - soul destroying that. Good thing the line is coming right up.

Sm5508ORCV10-R5-1109

And a little 'Stebness' to finish off with.

ThorsenORCV10-R5-1135

Hadn't got too out of control for our officials - yet.

More soon...
