ORCV Melbourne Winter Series (MWS)
Paratrooper.
All rightey then. Still looking for our bowman friend from Matrix to supply us with a few words. Perhaps Ian Lindsay, Janina Goethel or Stu Addison can raise the questiion with him... Thank you. Steb saw it and did his bit by sending in the image (cheers).
It was in Jungle Jim that the image above got the following quote - Paratrooper (Airborne - must have read the article too). Steb - I think we have to get a crop of this, please. Classic. Whomever you are, send us a note and we'll include it with the pic.
So in the original image we could not see that one foot is still on the deck. Accordingly, he's not quite airborne, but with neither hand holding on to something and that masthead kite loading back up, his situation is far from glamorous.
Our good friend Ian Lindsay has just sent in this, "That is Heath McGill on Matrix. Heath said he stayed off the foredeck on Sunday, I didn't think he meant by trying to fly." Thanks Ian, glad we have a name and I annot wait to see what Heath has to say about it all.
The full MWS results to date are HERE. The next race of the MWS is Race Five - the Passage Race on August 15.
So now, if you want to get out there with the best in town, you can. Individual entry for MWS races is HERE and the M2G is HERE - remember that Cruising Divisions will be offered for the latter event.

Thank you to David Judge and Tony Dawson from Hoobo's for ensuring Steb had a ride and we, therefore, had imagery. |
