Race Results
If you’re the boating enthusiast who enjoys calm, glassy, recline-the-deckchair type conditions, then today was your time to shine. If you’re an ocean racer who loves hoisting the big sail and ripping through chop, it was a tough day at the office.

3:00pm update - Saturday 17 August
Very light winds have forced a shortening of the course at mark one, but there are some exciting signs for the next months Coastal Sprint as the big boats flexed their muscle and showed a lot of strategy nous in the race for line honours.
It was Damian Thomas’ PP1 (AUS40) that crossed the line first, three minutes ahead of Simon Brown at the helm of Scarlet Runner (SM13), and seven minutes ahead of Paul Buchholz on Extasea (G10007).
Scott Robinson’s How Bizarre (S13) is looking good for Div 2 honours, with full results being posted later today.
Thank you to our race start partners, Royal Brighton Yacht Club - and see you soon, Royal Geelong Yacht Club!

10:00am update - Saturday 17 August
What a turnout! 63 boats and 354 crew are on their way to Geelong this morning for Race 4 of the DYSC Marine Winter Series.
Crews started downwind, with 6 knots from the North forcing a slight change to the course with Pt Richards being the first mark.
It was a clear start, with PP1 (AUS40) and Scarlet Runner (SM13) the early leaders in Division 1. Maverick (SM3600) led the way in Division 2.
